Best Features of Samsung Galaxy S5:
The Samsung Galaxy S5 looks a lot similar with the previous device S4 but it feels a lot better in hands. It is Samsung so you know what to expect. It has a metallic bezel around its sides and a soft touch back with nice texture to it which feels a lot like Note 3 but it is not leather finish. The phone feels more solid and better built than S4 and most of it is due to its back (I hated the cheap looking plastic-back).
9. Faster Processor:
The new flagship device from Samsung features Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 (a lot of numbers in this guy), in short this means a lot of power, enough for what this smartphone is capable to do. This chip is mostly similar with Snapdragon 800 which was designed to take 32-bit system-on-chip to its limits. The new chip has 4 Krait 400 CPUs clocked at 2.5 GHz and Adreno 330 as a GPU. This phone is bundled with 2 GB RAM.
8. IP67 Water and Dust Resistant:
The new Samsung device is built for daily usage with accidents like water splashes and dropping it into sand (to just show your fellows that it is dust resistant). You can just shower with Your Samsung Galaxy S5, clean dirt with water, or take some pictures in a pool. You can now take pictures in rain and never miss those rainy shots ever and can video your little one who loves to play in water.
7. 16 megapixel Camera:
Shoots 4k (UHD), which is going to be a common feature in most high-end phones. In this and upcoming year. Some features that took my attention was Hybrid AF. This technology combines Contrast AF and PDAF (face detection autofocus), which also speeds up autofocus and its autofocus speed is 0.3 s (by far the most fast AF system in smartphone). Another feature is Auto HDR, which captures a lot of dynamic range in one photo. Real-time HDR does take a lot of processing juice but due to its fast processor, it will not be a hard job.
6. Heart Rate Sensor:
Samsung Galaxy S5 is the world’s first smartphone to feature a heart rate sensor built under the camera (that looked like a dual LED flash, something like Apple did by using two-tone flash to make photos look way better and realistic in dark situations). Heart rate sensor uses infrared light and is a good move towards medical science in smartphones but this feature doesn’t make any good sense from now on, but maybe in future, developers can write some codes for it which can amaze people.
5. FingerPrint Scanner:
Apple (biggest rival of Samsung in smartphone race) introduced Touch ID into iPhone 5S. It scanned fingers through home button to unlock phone and make purchases in iTunes and App store. This time Samsung is doing this thing but instead of building scanner in home button, they have built-in to the lower screen in Samsung Galaxy S5. You swipe your finger up from bottom of the screen to unlock, make purchases and do mobile shopping using your fingerprint. Sounds cool but lets see how well it does.
4. Ultra Power Saving Mode:
Smartphones these days are coming very Slim (which means less battery). And every smartphone dies after a day of usage. Samsung has introduced a feature called Ultra Power Saving Mode which can give you 23 hours of battery on 35% charge (as demoed by Samsung) in Samsung Galaxy S5. It limits data and other processes which help to run phone for a longer time. This feature can come handy a lot of times.
This feature may not seem a big deal for many people but for many others and me it matters. You can play high-definition games, which require a lot of rendering of 3D graphics at a very impressing frame rate, plus you can do HD video editing and export files in less time. These capabilities can let developers to build apps that can take full core advantage of the phone.
2. Download Booster:
Samsung Galaxy S5 features LTE Cat4 and Wi-Fi MIMO (multiple in – multiple out) ac connectivity. And what download booster does is it combines both of these technologies together and boosts the download rate. It is just a simple concept and works very efficiently. With this technology, you can download 1GB of data in nearly 30 seconds (Yes, on your smartphone) so no more buffering in HD video streaming.
1. Kids Mode:
Now you can hand over Your android phone to kids without any hassle so they can beat you in Flappy Bird. This phone offers a kid mode, which can lock or disable certain phone features, which are not supposed to be used by kids so you don’t have to worry about your kids accidentally deleting photos or making purchases on your smartphone. This is one of the Best Feature of Samsung Galaxy S5 got.
